QUINCE CANNELLONI IN A BREAD & HAM WRAP

Ingredients:
  • 6 slices 'Serrano' ham
  • 3 slices wholemeal bread without crusts.
  • 3 strips quince (same length as the bread). (1 cm wide approx.)
Preparation:

First, flatten the slices of bread using a rolling pin, bottle or glass. They will be left at about half their previous thickness. Put aside.

Cut the quince as previously indicated and put aside as well.

Position two slices of ham as the base. Place the bread on top. Ensure ham protrudes more from one side than the other. Then add the quince strips. Roll them up towards the side where the ham protrudes more. Press down firmly but do not break the cannelloni.

Remove the excess from the ends, place the cannelloni on a plate and garnish with dried fruit and nuts, for example.

Note:

These cannelloni can also function as a 'snack' for the office, afternoon snack for children or for trips. It is like having an energy bar, just healthier and easy to make.
